4. Yuval Levin

Today's stop on our journey to discuss, debate, and explore ideas of nationalism is one of our best. We sat down with Yuval Levin, founder and editor of National Affairs magazine and director of Social, Cultural, and Constitutional Studies at the American Enterprise Institute. Yuval is the author of numerous best selling books. His most recent is A Time to Build: From Family and Community to Congress and the Campus, How Recommitting to Our Institutions Can Revive the American Dream. 5. Michael Lind 

We continue our travels in the United States, this time to the University of Texas at Austin. Political science professor Michael Lind has spent decades thinking about nationalism and its place in American politics. In his newest book, The New Class War, professor Lind argues that the divide facing his country is not necessarily one of left versus right, or nationalists versus globalists, but instead a divide between managerial elites and everyone else. Professor Lind joined us for this thoughtful discussion in spring 2020.

6. JD Vance

Our journey takes us next to the Buckeye State. My friend JD Vance joins us to give his perspective on how nationalism can help working class communities, like his own in southwestern Ohio. JD is the author of the number one bestseller Hillbilly Elegy, recently made into a Netflix movie. 7. Jayant Sinha

We are now off on a visit to India, where we will meet BJP Member of Parliament, Jayant Sinha. MP Sinha is formerly the Minister of State for Finance and the Minister of State for Civil Aviation in the Government of India. He offers a perspective on Indian nationalism and the place of India in global politics. MP Jayant Sinha joined us for this interview in summer 2020.

8. Kanchan Gupta

Continuing our focus on India, we speak with Kanchan Gupta, a journalist and distinguished fellow at the Observer Research Foundation. The Observer Research Foundation is a non-partisan think tank headquartered in New Delhi. Kanchan is also the chairman of the Chairman of Raja Rammohun Roy Library Foundation, an appointment from the Government of India. Kanchan’s commentary frequently appears in Indian media, and he considers himself an Indian nationalist. We are pleased to bring you this conversation with Kanchan Gupta from summer 2020,

We finish our conversations about Indian nationalism with a Canadian foreign policy expert, Shuvaloy Majumdar. Shuv has spent a lengthy amount of time in India and many other countries. He is a program director and Munk senior fellow at Ottawa’s Macdonald-Laurier Institute and former director of policy to Canada’s minister of foreign affairs.
